Everything else was fine, but one bathroom door wouldn’t shut all the way and lock.

The bathroom was so tiny you could hardly move, and the chairs felt like they might collapse when we sat down. The sheets were stained and piled up, and the duvets had hair on them. As for the air conditioning, its filters looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Turning it on filled the room with a smell like old sweaty feet and wet socks. We couldn’t breathe, so we cleaned the years of buildup out of the filters ourselves. The room was miserable, with a stench nobody seemed to be doing anything about. It felt like a slum. One star is too generous, I’d give it minus 20 if I could. You should be ashamed of the service you offer. Close up shop soon, honestly.

I was surprised to see a 2.4 rating here when Booking showed an honest 9/10, so I decided to stay. The Booking score is much closer to what I found: it was clean and had everything you’d expect in a hostel.

The room was a mess, dirty, cramped, and partly below ground, and communication was a complete shambles. If you don’t want to lose your money, don’t even go near the place. Honestly, I’d rate it minus one.
