Alexandros M. Studios and Apartments

We left feeling rested and already wanting to come back. Alexandros M Hotel has that personal, home-like feel, thanks to the owner and team taking time to know their guests and help with things like restaurant suggestions and excursions. The hotel is quiet, but the beach, local shops, and cozy restaurants are all within walking distance. Our room was simple but had what we needed, and the daily cleaning was excellent. We also loved having a balcony overlooking either the garden or the sea, whether for morning coffee or a glass of wine later on. The pool area stayed calm and clean, with sunbeds available and room to enjoy a swim or a lazy afternoon. It felt relaxed and adult-friendly. The rooms were inviting, and the warm welcome started as soon as we arrived. We felt like more than just guests. It’s a small hotel with a big heart and a lot of Cretan charm. We had a wonderful holiday and would love to return.

The owner may be the friendliest person you’ll ever meet. This family-run hotel is lovely, the service is excellent, and I highly recommend it.

The gardens are looked after every day by the owner, and all that greenery gives you some welcome shade and coolness in the hottest weather. Just a short walk below the hotel are lovely, uncrowded beaches, with spots for surfers too. Chania is easy to reach by the regular bus nearby, and there are two shops and tavernas serving Cretan and Greek food close by. Our room had air conditioning and a mini kitchen. The hotel’s outdoor pool bar was a good place for breakfast, a snack, or a cold drink. The owner was very friendly and ready to help with anything, and the staff were all just as nice. We had a pleasant stay. You may not get a golden room fit for a Hollywood star, but you do get a golden smile and genuine hospitality.
