Conte Marino Villas

Despina made us feel welcome right away and was very helpful throughout, including with local tips. From the villa, the beaches, Chania, and plenty of restaurants and tavernas are only a few minutes away, with Kontomari itself making a lovely base for a Greek holiday. Our place had a private pool, a fully equipped kitchen, a generous living area, and lovely gardens. It was beautifully designed to be comfortable in any season. Conte Marino Villas gave us a wonderful luxury stay, and we’d happily recommend it.

The setting near Chania is stunning, with beautiful scenery, beaches, food, and people around. It’s a peaceful spot away from the usual crowds, but still close to town. The three rental homes are gorgeous, top quality, and have all the comforts and amenities you need. Despina is a big part of what makes the stay special: she’s warm, welcoming, resourceful, and happy to help with anything, from local recommendations to things to do. It felt like living like a local with the comforts of a private resort. A once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience, and Crete’s best kept secret!

We were two couples at Villa Mandarina and had loads of space, with room for a third couple too. The outdoor area is huge, gets sun all day, and even has an outdoor sound system. Inside, it was spotless, luxuriously decorated, and equipped with everything we needed. The architecture is brilliant. Despina was great from the booking stage through to our stay, answering our questions and arranging a chef to make breakfast on our first morning. We walked into the village, and used a driver she recommended to visit the local winery and Chania. I’d highly recommend this luxury villa for a group.
