The room was much smaller than the pictures suggested. The newer computer-generated pictures only appeared long after we booked, and there was a bad smell from the toilet. The website on booking.com, when we booked, didn't mention that a club bar was directly downstairs. It was so loud we couldn't sleep or even talk without yelling. The music was horribly loud, and when we went down to complain after 3, even though staff had said it would stop at 2, they rudely lied and claimed it was 2 o'clock in Greek time, which it wasn't. There wasn't a proper reception either, just a desk in the middle of the bar. The woman who checked us in gave us no information at all, not the breakfast times, the hotel beach, or anything else. Don't come here if you don't want to be surrounded by blackout drunk people, regularly catcalled, and exposed to music loud enough to cause hearing damage. The most horrible hotel I've ever stayed at. I'd give it minus stars if I could.

The manager wasn't understanding when we raised our concerns. We could only change rooms for a hefty extra charge, and were told, "you can't expect anything better for such a low price." After we complained again the next day and contacted Booking.com, we were offered a room at the partner hotel, also for an extra charge. The descriptions on Booking.com were misleading, cleanliness was poor, the noise was unreasonable, and the handling of our complaint wasn't customer-oriented. I wouldn't recommend it. The photos on Booking.com didn't match reality at all. Instead of the actual Drossia Residenza Boutique Hotel, we were put in an annex building directly above a McDonald's. The air conditioning was extremely loud, with constant humming all night, making sleep almost impossible. Our stay didn't meet our expectations at all.

A nice extra is that you're staying above Drossia, one of the city's most popular restaurants. Drossia Residenza belongs to the sister hotel Parthenis Beach, whose facilities you can use, including the pool, beach access and bar area. It's only about 200 meters away, making this a good all-round deal at a fair price. There's also a private parking lot. This is a very good budget-friendly place with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The rooms are well-equipped and clean. Although it's at an intersection and might seem like it could be noisy, the windows are so well insulated that you can barely hear the street. A clear recommendation if you're looking for affordable, comfortable accommodation near the beach.
