Latania Apartments

This was our second time at the Latania Apartments. We enjoyed our stay so much last year that we returned. Our studio was a good size, away from the pool, with a sun-facing balcony for most of the day. Reception, bar, and cleaning staff were great, and the room was cleaned daily. The location is right in the middle of Stalis, close to shops, restaurants, and bars, while still quiet enough. We didn’t really eat or drink at the apartments. Good value for what you get. Recommended.

The Saturday barbecue was beautifully done, with traditional Greek food and extras to suit everyone. The food was delicious and cooked to order. Manos took great care of us and made us feel like family. Everyone was friendly and caring, the apartments were well equipped and kept tidy, and the pool was clean and worked for both adults and children. We couldn’t fault Latania Apartments!

We came as a family with children aged 13 and 20. Everyone at reception was accommodating, and the service was faultless. Staff were friendly and helpful, always ready for a chat. Manos and the 2 Maria’s looked after the bar and snack area. The food was good, nicely served, and tasted great. Drinks were cold and served with a smile. On a hot day, the beer came with a frozen mum, which really hit the spot. Temperatures were between 27 to 32 degrees over the Aug break, and it was easy to talk to all the staff. The pool was always clean and tidy. The beds were stacked away at 7pm, a little earlier on Saturdays for the barbecue. It looked amazing, but my girls only eat chips or nuggets, so it would’ve been a waste of money for us. I didn’t try it, sadly. There was no evening entertainment, just 2 pool tables at 1 euro a game, and it stayed quiet at night. The apartments are family friendly. Our room had a bedroom and balcony that my girls used. That left me in their room, which was also the kitchen, with 2 very soft single beds. There was a TV, hair dryer, and aircon for both room if needed. The young lady cleaner and the older lady were meticulous, leaving clean towels and loo paper every couple of days, I think. We certainly didn’t run out. lol The place is in the heart of stalis, across from the beach if you want sand, with a supermarket next door. The shop staff were friendly too. We went to the beach twice. The cool breeze was lovely, but the sand was like sandpaper and hurt. Some places charged £10 or 12 euro for beds, while some up towards babel and robing hood offered them free if you bought drinks or food. It’s an amazing place, and I’d definitely recommend it for a quiet break with good food and friendly people. I’d return in the future.

The location is excellent, just a short walk from the beach, and the staff are friendly. The rooms, though, are very outdated and need refurbishing. Getting in and out of the bathtub to use the shower takes care, and the bed is extremely uncomfortable. The WiFi kept dropping out. It’s shocking that air conditioning and use of the safe cost extra. Avoid it if you want a quiet holiday. The pool area is full of families with young children, and it was impossible to relax in the small pool surrounded by kids and inflatables. I understand it’s meant to be family friendly, but the stay was very disappointing.
