PEARL Hotel

There was one genuinely helpful bright spot: a young blond staff member, whose name I unfortunately can't remember, kept trying to help us whenever he could. The rest of the week at Pearl Hotel was awful. Housekeeping came just once, and our towels were replaced only once during the whole stay. I also felt discriminated against and hurt because I'm Israeli. My partner and I both experienced treatment that left us uncomfortable. The showers had no hot water, and the facilities and overall management were far below an acceptable standard. I won't return and can't recommend the hotel.

The exterior may have been renovated, but the rooms are in poor shape and the service was just as disappointing. Room cleaning happened only every 3-4 days, and I had to argue to get fresh towels every two days. Hot water in the shower was only available sometimes, the pressure was very weak, and the air conditioners barely worked. Guests aren't allowed to eat or drink anywhere in the hotel area, even by the pool. They also charge an extra €50 per person as a “tourist tax.” A terrible experience, definitely not recommended.

The central location was the only good thing. Otherwise, this was a nightmare. The place was noisy even at 5 AM, and there isn't a proper entrance: you have to go through a bar full of shouting and chaos. There were fights between groups of young men over political conflicts inside the hotel too. The rooms were dirty and badly maintained. The shower had hot water only about one time in three, and the drain didn't work properly, so the whole bathroom flooded every time. Staff entered my room with a key even after I clearly refused cleaning and asked reception to leave me alone. There was no privacy at all, and I consider that a complete violation of privacy and basic rights.

The food was amazing, with huge portions and great value for money. It was so good we came back twice in one day! The staff were lovely, and Josh deserves a special mention for being so friendly. 10/10 experience, a real hidden gem.
