Theoni Apartments

The staff were so kind and attentive, always ready to help with a smile, and they made me feel like part of a family. My room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully kept, and the whole place had a warm, welcoming feel. The location in Malia worked perfectly for relaxing as well as exploring the town’s charm. I left with lovely memories and honestly felt sad when it was time to go.

We had a pleasant stay, and the staff were very nice. Everything was kept clean, and the place had the basics for a comfortable visit. A few things were odd, though. The kitchen corner has dishes to use, but there’s no dish soap or sponge, and the cleaners don’t provide them. When you run out of toilet paper, you have to buy more yourself. We also weren’t allowed to take the supplied towels to the pool, even though it’s on the hotel grounds. The toilet vent carried the neighbors’ noise quite clearly, but usually closing the door solved that.

We were in Malia to see family and needed somewhere in the Old Town area. Theoni's is a wonderful family business, and the owners treated us almost like relatives. Even though it’s on a main road, the property feels like a quiet sanctuary, surrounded by olive trees, citrus, and pomegranate. The rooms are immaculate and updated, and there’s a lovely pool. The bar and snack bar serve tasty food and drinks at fair prices, and the fresh-squeezed orange juice comes from their own trees. We’ll definitely stay at Theoni's again when we return!

Dear Theoni, family, and all the staff, We felt welcome right away, and the warm, family feeling stayed with us throughout our first visit to Theoni apartments. We’ve already decided to come back next year. The apartment was absolutely clean and had everything we needed, including a cooker, fridge, and beds :-) Our apartment had good closet space and comfortable beds, split between two rooms, which worked perfectly for the three of us. Since we were on the ground floor, we had two terraces. One was handy for drying clothes; on the other we enjoyed morning coffee and a glass of wine in the evening. The garden and swimming pool were lovely places to relax and unwind, with reclining loungers for guests. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions. When we found a few ants in the bathroom on arrival, we reported it and they dealt with it immediately. We never saw the ants again. Dinner was cooked fresh for us after we ordered it the day before. We enjoyed a nice cocktail to start and house raki to finish. One small tip, which didn’t spoil our stay at all: the shower curtain is a little short. We really enjoyed our time here.
