Caravia Beach Hotel & Bungalows - All Inclusive

We’re here with two kids and friends, and day after day we can’t find anywhere to sit by the pool or on the beach. People leave towels on the sunbeds and then don’t use them, while the staff don’t seem to see it as a problem. Even after swimming, we can’t enjoy either the pool or the beach because all the beds are taken.

The room was modern and looked nice, and the pools were pleasant and well cared for. We also liked the landscaped greenery, the easy access to the sea, and how friendly and welcoming the staff were. But there were ants in our room every day, which felt unhygienic and was frustrating. The food was edible but mediocre, with not much variety or flavor. Sound also carried through the poorly insulated rooms, so we often heard people talking or moving around next door and in the hall.

The clean, modern twin room with a baby bed was enough for us, and we felt comfortable around the other guests. The beach was really nice and clean, and the employees all gave great service. Families will find a good kids’ pool and playground, while the kids’ club is also useful for younger children since they can use the facilities during opening hours. I only wish the playground opened earlier than 10am, as kids are often up early on holiday too. The buffet gets repetitive, and I’d prefer better quality even if that meant less choice. The chicken and fish nuggets on the kids’ buffet weren’t great. A real plus was having dairy-free milk at breakfast and pasta available at lunch and dinner. We’d recommend it and are thinking about coming back.

I’m not a hotel guest, but I want to comment on the security guard’s rude attitude. We made an innocent wrong turn onto one of the hotel’s roads because the roads were confusing. We were driving very slowly while trying to work out which way led to the beach. The guard followed us and looked at us as if we’d done something illegal, then told us to turn around and leave. He asked how we could think that road was a main public road. I didn’t appreciate his tone at all. If he can’t be polite and accommodating, he should find another job. Thumbs down.
