The staff were lovely, and the apartment was spacious and well equipped for self-catering, with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a balcony. Some apartments have amazing sea views. The location is hard to beat: right on the beach, about five minutes on foot from the port, and half a minute from shops and bars.

We had a balcony overlooking the beach, and actually had two, with a wonderful view of the sunsets. The apartment was spotless, with fresh towels every day, and we were welcomed with cake and given fresh eggs during our stay. There’s free Wi-Fi and it was very good value. We felt well looked after throughout our fortnight. It’s a relaxing, romantic, family-friendly resort, and I can’t fault it.

The sea isn’t the best for swimming and it can get windy, but that was absolutely fine with me. Around the place there are plenty of nice restaurants, bars and shops with local character and reasonable prices. Our room was always clean and tidy, and the balcony especially helped lift my mood. There’s no reception desk or anything like that, but Efi is always around, friendly and ready to help with anything.

I spent five days in a first-floor apartment with a big balcony facing the town. It was clean, very well equipped and spacious enough for two, or even three if needed. They cleaned it daily and changed the towels and bed linen. It felt like a place you could live in. The beach and all the village bars are only a few metres away. I had a very good stay in Mastichari and really recommend staying here.

The host was friendly and very helpful. The property is right by the sea and close to all sorts of local shops. I’d recommend it and hope to come back.
