Sea Breeze 2 Apartments

For a two-star hotel, the service and facilities went well beyond what I expected. My husband and I stayed three nights and were very happy with the cleanliness of the bedroom, bathroom, and balcony. They even supplied slippers, something I haven't seen in some three- or four-star hotels. Although we hadn't booked breakfast, the room came with a kettle, cups, mugs, plenty of bottled water, coffee, and sugar, enough for our stay. The owner was kind and humble, and all the staff were lovely. Mastichari was a convenient base. Restaurants, including places serving breakfast, were about a two-minute walk away, and supermarkets around five to seven minutes away. The beach took us 10-12 minutes on foot. The bus station and the ferry to Kalymynos were roughly five minutes away. We used public transport and enjoyed it. Buses made it easy to get to Kos town, Tigaki, Kefalos, and other places; Tegaki and Kefalos were also about 20 minutes away by private car. I've visited a lot of European countries, and this was the most impressive hotel I've stayed at for the service and price. I'd recommend it for a family stay.

The location was good, but I can't recommend this hotel. We asked for a blanket because the nights were cool, and for a clean bath towel, and the owner was abusive in response. We were given just one tea bag for three nights and staff said that was all we'd get. The tiny piece of soap was never replaced, and the room wasn't even swept during the three days.

I wouldn't spend money here. There was no cleanliness or privacy, and the owner came into the room without permission. Towels weren't replaced either. I woke up feeling itchy and sensitive, so I suspect there may have been bedbugs in the bed.

We needed a place for just one night before catching an early ferry, and this worked well. The hotel is right by the harbour, about 10 minutes from the ferry to Kalymnos. The man at reception was friendly and accommodating, and both the room and bed were very clean and comfortable.
