This is a fun, unusual place for a small family or a group of friends. The host and his helper were really kind and accommodating. There are restaurants and grocery stores nearby, and the rooftop seating area has a grill. The space comes with a large fridge, a small portable stove or hot plate, and a microwave. The showers were a little unreliable with the water pressure, but everything else worked well.

We stayed for a week at Canava Studio in Mesaria, and the welcome from George and his assistant Ina was so warm. Ina made a generous breakfast with local specialties each morning, which we enjoyed in the garden. Since the accommodation is an ancient cave, it stays cool in summer, and it's very well placed in the middle of the island. George had helpful suggestions for activities and places to see in Santorini. Shops, a pharmacy, an ATV agency, and a lovely traditional restaurant are close by. Everything was great. Efharisto! We'd gladly come back and recommend the place.
