We were a group of 11, and this hotel had everything we needed: it was clean, beautiful, calm, and the staff were polite and so helpful. After five days in Greece, we were tired and really appreciated having a peaceful place to relax. You’ll love staying here.

The staff kept checking how they could help, from our arrival right through to the moment we left. We loved the beautiful rooms with private pools, the tasty breakfast, and the amazing views. I also had a wonderful massage at the spa. The hotel is close to Fira and just a short drive from Oia. We rented a car from Motor Club company, which gave us the freedom to come and go as we pleased. Beautiful hotel, amazing service, highly recommend.

We were happy with our stay at Nous Hotel in October 2023, so we booked five nights there again for May 2026. This time, though, we could tell pretty quickly that it wasn’t the same experience. The hotel no longer feels maintained to the standard we’d expect of a five-star place, and it seemed to us that costs were being cut in several areas. The property itself is beautiful, but the rooms also need better upkeep. The staff remained friendly and accommodating throughout, so our impression was that management has its priorities wrong. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. On our previous visit, there had been a good variety of sweet and savory food, plus a separate menu for eggs and other dishes. That option is now gone, and the buffet has been cut back a lot too. There was no freshly cut fruit, for example, and far fewer sweet items. We also had a lot of ants in the room at the start, a power outage one night, and a water problem in our room for several hours another day. These issues were eventually fixed, but we received no real goodwill gesture, apology, or compensation. Elio’s, the evening restaurant, also appears to have closed and been combined with the daytime restaurant. There was no mention of this on the website or Google Maps, the menu was still online, and all the signs were still there, but the restaurant itself was gone.

Mesaria is a small town with few restaurants nearby, though local transport is good: Kamari is about 20 minutes away by bus and Fira about 10. The hotel sits between the two and has lovely furnished rooms with spa facilities and a nice pool. Breakfast had a good selection, and we enjoyed the poolside restaurant. Everyone on staff was friendly and accommodating.
