Hotel Methanion

We stayed May 1-6, 2023, on the second floor and had two rooms that were different in several ways, but we enjoyed both. The view is lovely, and the hotel is very quiet, close to the port and right on the main port road. I also liked the green color of the hotel, which made me feel even calmer than the sea view already did. I’d sit on the balcony each morning with coffee and as much sun as I wanted. Mary, Tasos, Chara, and Maria, the owners and their family, were all very friendly, always smiling, and took great care of us. Whenever we needed something, Mary was there on the phone to help. We even left with gifts from Mary, including oregano bouquets from Methana’s rich nature, homemade spicy tomato sauce, a small bottle of strawberry drink, and more I can’t remember. They weren’t hotel amenities, just a lovely gesture. The elevator music was another surprise, nothing like I’d heard before, and I loved it. It wasn’t just vacation mood! I also came to see the beautiful nature and animals around the area. It’s a great base for exploring Methana, and very close to its two therapeutic springs, the Radion and the sulfurous one. Thanks for a great time. I’ll definitely be back, and I recommend Hotel Methanion!

We enjoyed our stay a lot and would love to return. The renovated room was very good, the staff were amazing, and the island is lovely. Breakfast on Easter day was very authentic and more than enough. The hotel also gave us a lovely little gift, which was so kind.

I had a great three-day stay. The view was amazing, everyone was friendly and helpful, and the place was clean and quite cheap 😊.

This is a review of their ATV rental. We stopped on the island while sailing through, rented an ATV, and drove around to see different places. It was really simple and a great experience.
