Kinsterna Hotel

The restaurants had great service and very good food. The hotel and its grounds were beautiful and well kept, and the ambience was unmatched during the few nights my family and I stayed in September. I was very upset, though, about a blouse I sent to the laundry. We filled out the paperwork correctly describing our items, but when they came back the next day, my favourite blouse was missing. I kept asking about it through the rest of our trip. By the end, they acknowledged they couldn't find it. It cost around $55, but it was a favourite and can't be replaced. For a five-star resort, it was very disappointing that they offered no compensation or resolution. I wouldn't use the laundry service here, at least for anything valuable.

The only thing I’d change is the welcome. The property is large, with lots of areas and activities, but nobody properly oriented us when we arrived. The person who took us to reception gave very little information. We missed complimentary activities like bread making and honey collecting, which mostly happen on weekends. We did get to take a special garden tour with the agronomist. A simple welcome tour or clearer information would have helped a lot. Kinsterna Hotel is a truly special place. You can feel the care in every detail, from the beautifully restored architecture to the lush grounds. Breakfast was incredible, and the food at both the taverna and main restaurant was among the best we had in Greece, absolutely 10/10. The pool is stunning, and the stay felt luxurious while still connected to nature and history. We had a peaceful, delicious stay full of charm, and would return in a heartbeat.

The people are what made everything even better. George managed everything so well, and Angel, Sotiria, and the whole team greeted us with smiles and coffee in the morning. In the evenings, the food at Mouries restaurant was delicious, thanks to the chef. Linos tavern and the bars were lovely too, made even better by Kostas, Kristina, Vasilka, and Dimitra. Everyone at Kinsterna made sure we had what we needed any time, day or night. Special thanks to Ivan, Anna at the Antique shop, and George Askounis, the experiences manager. The place itself is incredible, with unique architecture and so much to see: spring water, pools, flowers, trees, oranges, figs, olives, gardens, paths, sheep, horses, and a donkey. Every part feels individually cared for, right down to the details.

The resort feels like a small village, and the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The pools were clean and quiet. Breakfast offered lots of choice, with vegetables, fruit, cakes, and some produce from their garden. The restaurant served very good, high-quality meals.
