Velanidia is a dream in itself and well worth visiting. The two hosts have made a special place in a beautiful setting, and we felt completely at ease and welcome from the moment we arrived. Every small detail seemed carefully considered, and the home-cooked food was outstanding too. This was easily the highlight of our Greece trip. We’re looking forward to returning, and will hold on to the memories of such a wonderful stay. Thank you for creating such a beautiful place! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+

What I expected to be a couple of filler days before heading to Elafonisos ended up as one of the best parts of our trip to Greece. The stay is unique, with nice accommodation, breakfast included, and an optional home-cooked dinner that you really shouldn’t miss. We also did the 5 km hike to the lighthouse. Highly recommend it for a lovely couples getaway.

We spent a few days in Velanidia last month, and it was our second stay at Strongilos’. We appreciated it just as much this time. The bright, comfortable room, garden, scenery, and sea view from the balcony all made for a peaceful, quiet stay. Christos and John looked after us with real kindness and generosity. Chris and John were so nice, and the apartment feels like a reflection of their passionate personalities. It’s decorated beautifully, clean and comfortable, with breathtaking views across the bay and mountains. The bookshelves make it a lovely retreat for anyone who enjoys art and design, and the apartment used to be Chris' art studio. We also recommend visiting their café in Velanidia village. John serves amazing food there, and you can see Chris' artwork in the café. We had a wonderful stay at Strongilos Homestay and would highly recommend it.
