Portes Mykonos Suites & Villas

The villas are beautiful, but it was the team that made our stay in Mykonos unforgettable. The staff took time to chat, get to know us, and share island tips. Those conversations became some of my favorite memories. I often find travel stays impersonal, so that warmth meant a lot. Illas deserves a special mention. His energy and hospitality set the tone, and he went out of his way to make guests feel at home, sharing local recommendations and stories. Carmen and Kostas also keep the place running beautifully. Their care and attention show everywhere, and everything was immaculate throughout our stay. Thank you all for making the trip so memorable.

We came with another family and seven kids between us, and the staff made us feel completely welcome. They went out of their way to make things comfortable, even buying a cot for my son at short notice. The rooms were clean and modern, and the kitchen was great for making snacks for the children. Breakfast was incredible: we could choose more dishes than there were people, and they also brought fresh yogurt, fruit, coffee, juice, and pastries. The pool area is gorgeous and modern, and Ilias at the bar was so lovely and happy to accommodate our requests. We’ve stayed at plenty of five-star hotels around the world, and we’ll definitely return to portes. Thank you!

A really bad, overpriced hotel, far from everything. The people were uncaring and the service was terrible. Breakfast was only coffee and fruit, not a proper meal. There wasn’t a real jacuzzi in the room, just a hole with freezing water. I don’t recommend it at all.

We booked the so-called “Deluxe Suite” months ahead for a once-in-a-lifetime bachelorette trip. Then a nationwide airline strike cancelled our flight at the last minute, completely outside our control, and the hotel showed no empathy at all. They refused a refund, credit, or new dates, keeping the money for a stay we couldn’t physically reach. The policy felt cold and inflexible at a time when we were already in a difficult position. It’s outrageous to profit from someone else’s misfortune. This didn’t feel like hospitality, and I’d tell anyone who values their money, plans, and peace of mind to stay away. If something goes wrong, don’t expect help.
