The rooms were comfortable and very clean, the location was outstanding, and the view was phenomenal. Breakfast tasted great and had plenty of choice. We were otherwise very happy with the stay and would recommend the hotel restaurant too. The main problem was the toilet smell. It lingered unpleasantly all day around the pool. Staff were a mixed experience: reception staff were often friendly, helpful and professional, but the restaurant staff were frequently inexperienced and not competent at their jobs.

A nice view, but sitting on the balcony was unpleasant because of the strong odor from a huge, open septic tank right beside the rooms on the 7th floor. Whenever there was even a little breeze, we could smell sewage across the resort, including at the pool and dining areas.

Just days before our trip, we unexpectedly found out that the room we’d booked wasn’t the one they planned to give us. We sent proof, and they replied, “Sorry, we won’t be hosting you.” That left us scrambling to find somewhere else at the last minute. If you want honesty and reliability, look elsewhere.

The location is hard to beat, and our room was comfortable. We had a couple of minor room issues, but staff sorted them out quickly and were polite and helpful. The breakfast selection was very good. The best kept secret is the pool on the 7th floor, which can be quiet and has great views. We ate in the hotel restaurant on our first night, when it was nearly empty. A few dishes weren’t right, but the Maitre d handled the problems fairly and put things right. The bigger issue is the sewerage or toilet smell that drifts across parts of the hotel. We think it’s why the dining area and pool bar are so little used in the evening. Staff told us it affects buildings in the area. Such a shame, and it needs fixing soon for all the local businesses.

The view and room service were amazing, and breakfast was one of a kind. We stayed in the new suites and had such a nice time that we spent an entire day at the hotel. There’s parking too. I recommend it 100%.
