Hotel Elenas

The central spot in Nafplio was a plus, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you want a decent breakfast. They charged an extra €15 for breakfast for a couple, and what we got was poorly presented and served. The rooms were very old, the toilet needs renovating right away, and you could hear even the tiniest sound from other rooms.

A cozy room, polite staff, and lovely shared spaces made this a nice little hotel in central Nafplio. The shower needs updating to a more modern tap and cabin, though, and the low water pressure was uncomfortable. Otherwise, I’d recommend it as good value for money.

Breakfast was the biggest letdown for us. We paid €14 for two people and got a tray that felt like hospital food. The egg was frozen, the ham portion was ridiculously small, and there was coffee with no alternative offered. The rooms were clean but old, and the prices aren’t the lowest in town. If you’re exhausted, as we were, the hotel’s well-placed location can work for one night in Nafplio. Beyond that, it’s a no-go for me.

A decent sized room and a very good buffet breakfast, with the option to get coffee in a plastic cup to go if you ask. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was very clean. The bathroom looked worn out, but you get what you pay for at this budget hotel. It’s close to Nafplio’s old town, port, and promenade. The balcony view wasn’t great, but I’d stay again.
