Grand Canava

Assia, the housekeeper, was a real gem all week. She was so kind and helpful. The host was also informative from the reservation stage through our stay, helping us arrange transport to and from the airport and book tours. We had 12 family members here for a wedding in Santorini, and the layout worked well for us. Around the pool deck were a main section with two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, plus the kitchen and dining room; a neighboring section with two rooms, a shared bathroom and a small kitchen; and another separate bedroom with a bathroom. Upstairs, there was an additional bedroom and bathroom, an outdoor living area with an extra bed, and a private deck with chairs, a table and hot tub. The property is right by a market at the entrance to Oia’s promenade of shops, up near the top of the cliffs, so the steps weren’t as bad as at other places. We found the location just right, and the property was wonderful.

The Caldera views were incredible, and the pool was just the right temperature. We were six couples at Grand Canava for four nights starting September 19, 2017. Everyone had a room, though in one suite two couples had to share a bathroom. The villa itself was fabulous, right at the end of Oia’s walking street. A little bakery just steps away had lovely croissants and coffee at very reasonable prices. Roxanne, Astia and George were helpful with everything, from carrying bags and booking dinner to arranging transport for our amazing sunset cruise. They also made appetizers, including bruschetta with fresh local tomatoes and basil that was to die for. It was a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and our experience at the beautiful Grand Canava is one we won’t forget. Right in the heart of Oia, this villa was incredible. There’s a market just above it, and the place was clean, with a large pool and bedrooms and bathrooms set in caves. The beds were comfortable, and the house manager was easy to work with. No complaints!

Roxanne was a great host, and the catamaran trip is a must. We were 11 people staying for three nights, and the setup was perfect, with three separate houses opening onto an amazing patio and pool. You really can’t beat the location, and I don’t think you’d be disappointed staying here.
