Marizan Caves & Villas, Santorini

We had to cancel because of external safety concerns. The airline handled it reasonably and gave us a full refund, but the property returned only a small amount. Communication was minimal, and we didn’t get the understanding we expected. The hotel felt purely profit driven.

Santorini (Oia) is already beautiful, and staying at MARIZAN made it even better. The brother and sister who own it work very hard to meet every need, and they do it successfully. The rooms have that classic Cycladic luxury, and the views are just incredible. The owners are wonderful, and so are the people they employ. We highly recommend it! The terrace alone is worth the money, with a perfect view of Santorini’s famous sunset. Marizan is also quiet and just a five-minute walk from the well-known shops and restaurants. We spent five magical days there. The rooms were immaculate and kept clean all the time, and the staff were extremely kind and attentive. Each day they made sure we were comfortable and left a small gift, like a glass of wine or a cake. I highly recommend it and will definitely return.

A very friendly, helpful reception, and the staff carry your bags. The room was clean and big, with a view that can be amazing for sunset depending on which room you get. The infinity pools were nice, and the breakfast was tasty, varied, and served on time. They provide beach towels, the AC works really well, and the Wi-Fi is fast. The only issue was that the water isn’t drinkable. At 2 am I had to walk six minutes to a bar to buy some, so ask for extra water before nighttime.
