Ms. Maria welcomed us as soon as we arrived at The Mystique, and we were given an upgraded room that was amazing. The caldera views were fantastic, and restaurants and shops in the little town center were only a five minute walk away. I’d been booked at the Vedema Resort, but about 10 days before arrival I was told I’d be sent to The Mystique in Oia. In my opinion, that worked out very well. Everyone on staff greeted us with a smile and gave us great service. Ms. Maria also helped arrange a birthday event for my wife, then had a birthday dessert delivered to our room when we got back. It was one of the best times we’ve had in years, thanks to her and the whole staff.

There are a lot of steep, uneven steps from the road down to Mystique, with no handrails, and you have to climb them again to reach the village. Anyone with mobility issues or who is getting on a bit will find that a problem. The outside spaces also don’t offer much privacy, since other guests walk past and there are no internal corridors. There aren’t many shared areas indoors either, so the place felt more like a group of apartments than a hotel. The views are stunning, the buildings picturesque, and the rooms very well appointed. Staff were helpful and happy to do whatever they could. Lure serves excellent food, but it comes at an expensive price. Mystique is a great place if value isn’t a concern, though you do pay a lot for it.

We got an upgrade when we arrived, and the view from our room was unreal. The staff were incredible and so helpful. Every part of the trip was amazing, and this was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Thanks for such a great experience!

We spent three nights in the Air of Mystery villa #39, and it felt like paradise. Maria, Konstantina, Penny, Anastasia, and the rest of the staff made our stay memorable with top notch service. Their wine tasting is worth catching too, with what they call the world’s best selections.

Our room was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed, and it was so peaceful that we could happily have spent the whole day by the pool. Breakfast was a la carte and amazing, and all the staff were really nice. The view was wonderful too. Oia city center was about a 10-15 minute walk away, though getting to the room means walking up and down hills. We stayed for 3 days, 2 nights and had an excellent time.
