Santo Pure Oia Suites and Villas

The people’s warmth and hospitality made the stay feel even more special. The hotel has an authentic Cycladic feel and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere, with a design that captures Santorini’s charm. And the sunset views are stunning.

The room was nice, but the spa experience felt below average for the price, and breakfast was just average too. On the first day, my wife asked for a cold coffee with coconut milk, but whatever they brought her was poor quality and had some other kind of milk. It caused her a lot of stomach problems for the rest of the trip. I’d be careful about what you eat there. Overall, it wasn’t a great experience.

The views from the rooms are gorgeous, but they didn’t make this nearly worth what I paid. The stay cost close to $10,000 USD, and it was nowhere near a $10,000 experience. From the first day, ants were crawling around my room, and the drain on my pool patio was clogged. There were inches of water to walk through to reach my door every day, even after I told staff. One employee used his key and walked into my room without knocking while I was changing, just to drop off a room service menu. I reported it, but staff said and did nothing. Restaurant service was poor. The women employees were good, but the men weren’t. I called to book a spa appointment for the next day, then showed up and was told I wasn’t on the schedule. Whenever we asked reception for a taxi, they tried to get us a much more expensive “transfer” instead. I clearly asked for a taxi. They must have some deal with that transfer company, because it felt like they were trying to finesse us.

Anastasis and Spiros were A+++. The whole staff and space were beyond beautiful, and the food, service, and views were fantastic too.
