The balcony is the highlight, with a perfect spot for sunset views and people watching. You can see crowds gather for sunset and watch people taking photos during the day. The room itself was clean and spacious. It was quiet at night, and once inside, the room felt very private. Just know that if you want a lot of privacy, this might not be the best fit since people gather below the balcony and walk past it regularly.

Sophia castle in Joce locality has gorgeous sunset views and makes it easy to reach nearby places to eat. I did have an issue with bugs during my stay and brought it to the manager’s attention. There’s no proper road, so be ready to carry your luggage upstairs for 5-10 minutes, though the manager was really helpful with this.

The views were the best part, with the famous Oia sunset and the caldera both in sight. The location is probably the best on the island. Take a look at the pictures and judge for yourself. We loved staying in the higher of the two apartments, the one without the small pool. Thanos was very helpful with everything, and the linens and other things were good quality. We slept really well. Even on the windiest day, the house design meant we could leave the two windows facing the caldera open and still just feel a light breeze.

From the porch of the "Caldera view" suite, we could see both sides of the island, so we watched sunset and sunrise without leaving the room. The view was honestly the best on the whole island. The room is a little spartan, but beautiful inside and out. I can’t recommend it enough, especially in winter when there are hardly any tourists.
