Ikies Santorini

They brought our hand-picked breakfast out to the terrace in the morning, and when we realized the cooler wasn’t a refrigerator, the staff went out of their way to bring a small fridge to our room. Everyone was gracious and helpful from the warm welcome onward. We were upgraded on arrival because a nicer room was available, with a hot tub and steam room. We came in early May, so that was a lovely bonus, especially with the strong wind and clouds on the second day after a long hike. The design has so much charm and taste, and the view is so beautiful it almost doesn’t seem real. One of Santorini’s most iconic places to stay, with truly kind staff.

The room’s design made it feel comfortable, and gave us complete privacy along with an incredible Caldera view. My girlfriend and I spent four days in the 'Musicians Room'. It was very clean and the service was outstanding. I’d recommend staying in Oia rather than Fira for a better overall experience. The hotel is centrally located, about a 10-minute walk from the heart of Oia.

We had a great stay at Ikies. The staff were really helpful and pleasant, and the location kept us close to restaurants and shops while offering stunning caldera views.

For the end of our two-week 50th birthday trip, my two girlfriends and I splurged on the Winemakers room. The beds were comfortable and breakfast on the terrace made us feel spoiled. The huge terrace looks out at the blue domes, downtown Oia, and the sunset, with comfy loungers and a lovely hot tub for a morning or evening soak. We’d watch the sunset there, then head out for dinner to miss the crowds. The location was great: quiet on our terrace and around the main pool, away from downtown’s bustle, but still an easy walk to restaurants. It’s also the start of the Oia to Fira trail. The main pool is on the small side, but it was perfect for a refreshing dip, and loungers were always available when we went down. Every staff member we met was helpful and wonderful. Kyriaki, Katerina and the rest of the hardworking team gave us restaurant suggestions, arranged airport transfers, carried our bags up and down the stairs, and delivered delicious breakfasts. I could keep going. I only wish we’d stayed longer.
