Pieria Mare

The service and the attitude are a rare find. Rooms looking out to sea have great views, and the balconies are spacious. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, and the large fridges are the kind you can only dream of in many more expensive places. Highly recommend.

Under new management and family-owned, the hotel had a friendly, accommodating, and professional owner. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with air conditioning included at no extra charge. Breakfast was excellent. It’s within walking distance of the beach and close to all the restaurants. I highly recommend it.

Maria made our stay at Pieria Mare feel special. She and the rest of the staff were kind and quick to help, and she gave us useful tips on a traditional village by Mount Olympus, a place for traditionally prepared fresh scallops, hiking routes, and olive oil mills. We’d happily return, Maria. The hotel is only about 50 metres from the fine sand beach, close to the center of Paralia Katerini, with shops, groceries, and terrace restaurants nearby. It has its own parking lot, which is locked at night, a real advantage in such a crowded resort. Inside, everything was clean, there’s an elevator for guests with mobility difficulties, and the rooms have air-conditioning, TVs, and good Wi-Fi. Our towels were replaced daily. Breakfast was included for us, with dishes changing and the selection expanding each day. For the price, the quality is well above what I’ve had at some four-star hotels in Greece. The beach is just 10 metres away, and the hotel is ideally placed for getting around. We found the staff warm and helpful, and the bar had a good range of cocktails and drinks. Breakfast was fantastic, with homemade dishes from Liza. Parking was available once we’d reserved it. I’d recommend staying here.
