Yria Boutique Hotel & Spa

I came to Paros for a wedding in September 2025 and was a little unsure after reading the reviews. As soon as I got to Yria, though, I fell in love with the resort. Everything was fantastic from arrival to departure: the food was amazing, the pool looked awesome even though I didn’t use it, and the staff were wonderful. Sia, Georgia and Reina were especially great, and I’m sorry if I’ve misspelled any of their names. The only snag was the power cutting in and out on the first night, apparently an island-wide problem and no fault of the hotel. The property felt like my picture of Greece and the islands, with a bit of a Mama Mia vibe. I’d strongly recommend staying here and would return if I come back to Paros.

The rooms were lovely and so quiet, great for relaxing and sleeping in. Breakfast had plenty of tasty choices, including different pancakes and omelettes. It’s a beautiful resort with an amazing pool and garden, close to the beach, and the staff were so friendly with outstanding service. We’ll definitely come back.

We spent five nights at Yria and left disappointed. The setting is beautiful and the breakfast staff were lovely, but the stay didn’t feel like a five-star experience or good value for the price. Some staff were kind, though several people at reception were surprisingly unhelpful. The restaurant and pool were so expensive they were empty on most days. A cappuccino freddo, for example, cost €9.50. We were also charged each day for bottled water in the room, then told it wasn’t provided because “you can drink the tap water.” That didn’t feel like the level of care or hospitality we expected. I’m also not sure why “spa” is in the hotel’s title: there’s a tiny spa area, but therapists are brought in from elsewhere when needed. The nearby beach gets hit hard by the wind, so we couldn’t enjoy it. We’ve stayed at other five-star hotels in Greece, and Yria didn’t quite measure up. For the price, we expected more warmth, care and attention.

The hotel was lovely, and the breakfast was good. Georgia makes great cocktails, and Sia gave us useful tips for getting around. They were both so helpful and their recommendations and hospitality made our vacation special. I’m really grateful to them and the rest of the wonderful staff.
