OLIA Seaside Residence

The owners seemed lovely and kind, but I missed being able to have a proper chat because we didn’t share a common language. Having the pool bar fully open, with a vending machine for non-alcoholic drinks and snacks, would make the experience much better. I missed having a frappe in the morning and beer, cocktails, or other drinks in the late afternoon. We stayed for a week in a ground-floor one-bedroom apartment. There are about ten apartments in all, so it feels private. Ours was well equipped: hob, oven, pots and pans, cups and plates, washing machine, fridge, coffee pod machine, microwave, hair dryer, ironing board and iron, smart TVs in each room, internet, and a small front porch with a table and chairs. The mattresses were top quality, and each room had its own new, very quiet air conditioner. Window shutters provided privacy and kept noise out. The place felt brand new, carefully designed with a luxurious touch, and was well maintained. The pool, sunbeds, and parasols were new too. It’s around a 15-20 minute walk to central Pefkohori, in a private, safe, very quiet area. There’s private parking and an electric vehicle charging station on the property. The one thing that really let us down was housekeeping. The apartment wasn’t cleaned once during the week, and the bed sheets weren’t changed, even though the cleaner was there every day. Maybe that came down to the language barrier. I’d still recommend the place to other travellers. Thanks for having us.

The host was friendly and helpful, and Pefkohori’s beaches are only a few minutes away. We had an unforgettable time in a beautiful, luxurious suite that would be great for families. See you next summer!
