Odysseas Hotel

We’re 45 people from India on an SOTC Greece trip, and every one of us is unhappy with this hotel in Santorini. Our rooms and toilets are on different floors, and one room amenity or another, like the AC or thermos, doesn’t work. There aren’t any amenities in the rooms. This has apparently happened with the last 2-3 groups as well, yet SOTC keeps sending people here. Horrible.

The location is handy, close to the beach and an easy walk into town. The pool area is lovely, the bar is good, and the hotel was clean with fresh towels. Most of the staff were great, and the front office team were helpful when the power went out two days in a row. One man wandering around in the morning was rude to guests who wanted to swim during breakfast. You shouldn’t have to wait until 10:30 to use the pool. Breakfast had some odd choices, though I found a few things to eat. The hotel has potential, but comfort was lacking: a hard mattress on what was literally a concrete slab, doors that rattled in the wind, toilets that didn’t always flush, and a door lock that was always a hassle. If a comfortable room is what you’re after, this isn’t the place.

The staff took care of everything from reservations to tips on local activities, so we could simply enjoy the holiday. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautiful, with a stunning view, and the pools were perfect for relaxing in the sun. We also really liked the varied food selection. A special thanks to Tadeo at the bar for excellent drinks and such kind service. He became a good friend during our stay. We had an amazing time at ILIADA OBYSSEAS RESORT in Santorini. The friendly, helpful welcome set the tone from the moment we arrived. It felt like living like royalty, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend it.

A relaxed little hotel near the beach, with plenty of tavernas along the strip just two minutes away. Oia is about 40 minutes away, so you’re nicely removed from the madness.
