The bathroom was dirty, with water everywhere, and the sheets and fridge were dirty too. The apartment looked nothing like the pictures. Worst of all, while we were asleep, the host came in during the night using his own keys. There were two of us, both 18-year-old girls. It was the worst experience of our lives.

The beach is only about a three-minute walk away, while the bus stop takes 10-15 minutes on foot. For the price and location, it felt like a great deal. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Someone cleaned daily, though they didn't replace the towels. The bathroom was dated and not especially nice, but acceptable.

We stayed in a spacious triple room, and the staff were helpful. There was a little kitchen area with a fridge, and the location was really good. The shower had no curtain or holder, which was inconvenient. Still, for what we paid, the good points outweighed that.

We booked one of the older, cheaper triple rooms at Pension St George and ended up liking it far more than the other apartments we tried during our two weeks in the Perissa area. Our bathroom was a roomy wet room, which made holding the shower easier than in other places I've stayed in Greece. Housekeeping came every day, with fresh towels and smart white sheets, and the team were lovely. The sea was right across the way, about a two-minute walk for a swim. We were at the Agios Georgios/Perivolos end, where there are bars, restaurants and watersports, but it feels quieter. The beach and its bars run for about 3km, or a 40-minute walk, to the busier, noisier main part of Perissa, where the main coach and bus stops are.
