Perissa Bay

For the price, we had a nice time here. It's right by the water on Black Beach, and the beds were comfortable and free. We had wine, pizza and tzatziki. The restaurant washrooms weren't great for changing, and the lock on the outdoor changing room didn't work properly. Service was mostly fine, though they forgot my beer completely. When I reminded them, they brought draft instead of a bottle. Not a huge deal, but it counts. The place could use some attention, like staff shirts, fresh paint and a few small repairs. There's a lot of potential here.

Nico, Harry and the rest of the team were so friendly and never pushy. We loved ending our evenings with a drink or two here, since the bar was close to our apartments. The Santorini Platter at lunch was amazing, and the Tanqueray G&T was the best. It's a well-run spot with great drinks. The bar is right by the beach, and the sun loungers were really comfortable. They were free when we had lunch or drinks there. Definitely worth stopping in.

I visited at the end of September. There was no charge for the comfortable sunbeds and no minimum spend. The staff were attentive without hovering, and drink prices seemed reasonable. I didn't try the food.

The surprise consumption fee on our bill was extremely high, and nobody had mentioned it beforehand. When we asked about it, the staff were neither helpful nor apologetic. That lack of transparency and poor service spoiled what could have been a nice meal at this beachfront restaurant. I expect charges to be explained upfront, and this left a bad impression. I wouldn't recommend the place when there are other beachside options that treat customers honestly and respectfully.
