Santorini Hotel Pleasure Black Beach Perissa

We were so unhappy with the place that we left the keys and a note, then had to pay a lot for somewhere else to stay, and they wouldn’t refund us. I also accidentally left my favorite expensive jacket behind. They later said it wasn’t in the room, which I don’t believe. Before we left, the rooms didn’t match what we expected. We waited 15 minutes for the owner, who rushed us through. When we asked him to stop because we weren’t happy with the cleanliness, he did. One room smelled of bleach, the others were musty, and the shower curtain had mold along the bottom. He did replace it after I asked. There was broken furniture outside, and people with children were renting a unit year-round. The owner is a liar. I’d never recommend this area. It wasn’t what I expected and was disgusting.

We were there for two days and never saw the owners again. The room smelled awful, like cigarette smoke mixed with mold, and there was no toilet paper or hand soap. I texted the owners without getting a reply, then went to the main building and asked another guest for toilet paper. During the week before our arrival, we called and emailed to say we’d be later than planned, but nobody got back to us. When we arrived, the owners were asleep and the woman was angry about how late it was. I told her I’d called and emailed, but she didn’t care. The place looked nothing like the photos. The beach is on the other side, and you can’t see it from the property. I’d give them zero stars if I could.

The photos are misleading, and the management refused to return our money after we decided not to stay. There was no office and nobody around to help. The place was nowhere near the beach, there was no heat, and the rooms were filthy. Showers had curtains covered in mildew, unlike the glass enclosures shown in the pictures. Management was unhelpful and unwilling to fix anything. Their response only showed how disgusting their management is. They should be ashamed to run a pig pen like that. A total rip-off. If I could give zero stars, I would.

The service was great, and we spent around 50 euros there that afternoon. My boyfriend had a burger and I ordered a sandwich, and both were really good. We also had beers and cocktails, which cost 10-12 euros each. We’d walked over from Perissa and were welcomed by a lovely chap who wasn’t pushy like some of the beach-front restaurant staff. We asked to sit on the beach, and he took us to our sunbeds himself. They were free to use. There was Wi-Fi, but it required an email login, so we didn’t use it. Thanks to the Pleasure team.
