Spiros & Hiroko Hotel - Adults Only

By the time we left, staying there felt more like visiting friends than being at a hotel. We’re already dreaming about returning. Spiros and Hiroko made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, even though our delayed flight got us there after midnight. Spiros was waiting with a warm greeting and cold water, a small kindness after a long day of travel. You can see how much care they put into the place in the garden, where Japanese and Greek plants grow together, and in the spotless rooms. Ours was cleaned thoroughly every day, the bathroom looked new, the beds were very comfortable, and having a fridge was a big plus. The windows seemed to have four layers of glass or something, since we couldn’t hear any outside noise. The whole property has a peaceful, romantic feel. The pool is a good size and never seemed crowded, and the jacuzzi gave a surprisingly good massage. The Wi-Fi was fast and steady in our room too, around 50mbps, which isn’t always the case on the island. We’ve never felt so welcome at a hotel. If you’re considering booking, go ahead. You won’t regret it.

Spiros and Hiroko were the kindest, most helpful hosts we’ve met. Always friendly and smiling, they shared great advice and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. They made our stay especially memorable. The location worked really well, with nice bars and restaurants nearby, Perissa beach about a five-minute walk away, and a bus stop right outside for trips to places like Fira and Oia. The hotel itself is very clean and well cared for. The cleaners were friendly and accommodating, even when my partner and I slept late. They cleaned our room every day while we were out and never pressured us to be up by a certain time. The room was a good size and had everything we needed. We slept well and heard nothing from outside. There are lovely flowers outside, and the quiet pool area has a beautiful mountain backdrop. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Santorini and this hotel is available for your dates, you’ve found the right place. We wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else if we return.

Perissa worked out to be the right base for us. Fira and Oia were very busy and touristy, while the hotel is close to beaches, bars, and restaurants. With a hire car, Fira was an easy 19-minute drive and Oia took 45 minutes. After returning the car a night early, we found the bus system easy to use, with a stop right outside the hotel. There are also places to eat and drink just outside if you want to stay nearby. Spiros and Hiroko are lovely, caring hosts who really help guests have a good stay. The rooms are spotless, with fresh towels and sheets every day, and they’re so soundproof you can’t hear the outside world. We loved the peaceful pool area and the beautiful mountain views. We enjoyed every moment and look forward to coming back. The beach is at most a five-minute walk away, and the bus is handy for getting around the island.

We’ve stayed at Spiros and Hiroko Hotel several times over the years and have just come back from our second Santorini holiday this year. It’s a lovely, authentic Greek boutique hotel, and now the shower water is desalinated too. The pool and gardens are beautiful places to relax, and the hotel is well placed for exploring the island’s towns and villages. Spiros and Hiroko are fabulous hosts, full of useful information to help you get the most from your holiday. Maria also deserves a mention for keeping the rooms spotless and fresh. Everything here gets five stars from us.
