The place was very clean, with an elevator and cooking facilities. The salt, pepper, coffee, and appliances were good, and YouTube was built in. There was a supermarket nearby, and free trash bags were available. I couldn’t find a bin except in the bathroom, then realized the one by the sink opens. Check-in was at 3 PM and checkout at 11 AM, which seems to be how it works in Greece and Japan too. The boiler had to be switched on by hand, and the security code was a number followed by a check mark. Agoda showed the balcony sign oddly, but they didn’t explain it. That seems like Agoda’s issue. The Wi-Fi was fast in the daytime and slow early in the morning. Everyone else got the code, but I didn’t, even after checking my junk folder. There was a WhatsApp app in the lobby, though, and they replied right away. A young guest was also friendly and helpful. I’d read reviews saying towels weren’t changed daily, so I only stayed one night. If they had been changed, I might have stayed longer. The gentleman was nice, but the lady questioned whether my 100 euro bill was okay because it was large, even though I also had a card. She didn’t speak English and looked at me suspiciously, as if I might have a counterfeit bill. What the heck. Does she think badly of our country? The family who were moving were leaving for that reason. I tried to help another female European guest, but we were both tired and the fingerprint issue had been sorted out, so she ignored me and went inside. Today I’m left feeling that in Greece the men are kind and the women selfish.
