The owners are really nice, and the garden is perfect for small children, with lots of toys to play with. It's a very good-looking hotel, and the small room is packed with what you need. The shower doesn't make sense, though: there's no curtain, and when the shower head is in its holder, it sprays everywhere except the shower itself, so you have to hold it.

We were happy with the beautiful place and good service, but a bit disappointed by a few things. The bed was very hard, and after a week on it we had back pain. The A/C is old and weird, swinging between too hot and too cold. In the morning, poor insulation let in noise. The shower pressure and temperature changed randomly when people in other rooms were showering at the same time, so forget a relaxing shower after a hiking day. There's a bakery two streets away where you can get cheaper breakfast any time.

We had a great time at this family-run hotel in Plakias. It’s just two minutes from the seafront, with plenty of green space around it. Our room was spotless and had a sea view, strong AC, good Wi-Fi, comfortable beds, and a shower with good water pressure. Breakfast and a BBQ area are available, though we didn’t try either. Really family-friendly, and we enjoyed our stay a lot.

We spent five nights in ground-floor room 18, looking out onto the garden. It worked well for someone with limited mobility, with no steps and a grab rail in the bathroom. There was plenty of space, AC in both bedrooms, a large balcony, and a kitchen with an oven and four stove-top rings. We could eat at the table inside or use either of the two garden tables, and the room was cleaned daily. The rooms were excellent value, and the staff were helpful. It was peaceful while still under a five-minute walk from the beach, shops, and restaurants. Plakias itself is a lovely base for day trips. In late July the beaches were almost empty and good for swimming and snorkelling. There are great bakeries too, especially the one opposite the Camping place, with amazing meat pies and cakes. The area felt less busy and overdeveloped than the north shore.
