Notus Suites

We chose Notus Suites instead of staying farther out and were glad we did. The nicest restaurants are nearby, and although the rooms are above a small supermarket, there was no noise from it. The owner has a nice shop downstairs and was easy to ask for recommendations or help. Our room was one of the best we've stayed in: lots of space, a huge, comfortable bed, and a roomy bathroom. The terrace was enormous too, though it could use more shade around midday.

Notus Suites worked well for our family of two adults and two small children. We stayed for a week and a half in the Lime suite, which has a separate children's room with bunk beds. The apartment was spotless and beautifully decorated, and its huge terrace has a side view of the sea. Nicos and Maria were lovely hosts. The village centre is right outside: within 100 metres there are restaurants, a supermarket, and a cocktail bar, and a little farther on there's a beach that's good for families with young children. We definitely recommend Notus Suites. You can hear people at the restaurants and traffic from inside in the evening, since it's in the centre of the village. It didn't bother us, but anyone wanting complete silence may prefer a place outside the village or up in the mountains.

We came back for a second visit, and the huge terrace looking out over the bay of Plakias is still astonishing. The apartment has lovely furniture, with care put into every detail. The hosts are so friendly and attentive to guests' needs. A real gem in Plakias!

The apartment is tastefully decorated by Maria, who also makes the souvenirs sold in the shop on the ground floor. Its location in Plakias is probably as good as you could hope for, and the street is lively. We had a wonderful time in and around Plakias. Maria and Nikos were great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks so much from Darija and Giacomo. We really hope to return soon.
