Stefanos Village

We spent three weeks here without a car and had a great time. Myrthios has five restaurants and a little cafe and shop, while Plakias at the foot of the mountain has more places to eat and supermarkets. You can walk down, though some parts are steep, then take a taxi back up for 7-8 euros. The rooms were perfect, the air conditioning worked well, the staff and service were lovely, breakfast was wonderful, and the pool was really nice. I recommend it!

We loved sitting outside and looking out over the Libyan sea. The views are fantastic in every direction, and the room was very comfortable. The pool area is a lovely spot to relax with a cool drink. There are good restaurants within walking distance, and Plakias shops are only a short taxi ride away.

The staff were genuinely helpful and kind, and the hotel was very clean. I also liked the architecture, which makes it feel like a small village, and the views are terrific. The rooms, linens, and towels are all finished to a high standard. Still, I wouldn't recommend it or return because of a few practical problems. Our first room had a bedroom, living room, and balcony, but getting there meant climbing 80 steep steps from the pool and lobby. We moved the next day to a smaller room with 35 steps. The room type has just one small air conditioner in the living room for the whole unit, and in August it takes a while to cool things down. To get cool air into the bedroom, you have to leave the parents' room door open. The compressor is also on the balcony. Parking is steep and difficult, and there is space for only about 80% of guests. Arrive late and you may need to park on the street below, then walk uphill again.

The view is beautiful and unusual, and the rooms were clean. There are some things that need attention, though. Breakfast was very poor and low quality, and having to pay extra for parking even in a deluxe room was not acceptable. The road inside the property is broken in several places and really needs work. The plants and garden also need much better care.
