Alkionides Apartments

The apartments were clean and nice, and the staff were very polite.

The balcony is large, and the coffee maker is good, but the rest was disappointing. The cleaning and linen changes were poor, and it seemed the cleaning staff didn't know how to use a vacuum. We had to keep asking for a drying rack and toilet paper for days. There's no actual reception; you have to take any issue to the cafe administrator 200 meters away, and her manner made it clear she saw guests as a nuisance. The internet barely worked, enough for text and email, but unreliable for messaging and no good for Instagram or TikTok. There are two TVs, but neither is smart, and Greek terrestrial channels aren't much fun if you're not Greek. The shower drained very slowly. The furniture and decor looked unusual, but the quality was very poor. The beach is close, though cramped and dirty, and they don't clean it, so don't expect Blue Flags.

We didn't stay at the accommodation, so I can't speak to what it's actually like. This low rating is only about the staff renting out sunbeds and selling drinks. Their service was awful and they seemed completely uninterested. They said our sunbeds were booked, but after I made a proper reservation, the waiters gave them to someone else the next day when we got to the beach. The same thing happened over several days.
