We ended up adding another night, and the staff were very helpful about arranging it. They were also easy to reach on WhatsApp whenever reception was unattended. The location worked well, about 15 minutes to town and 10 to the beaches. After a disastrous night at Niki's village, we walked in at 9:30 one morning and the receptionist showed us two available rooms. We chose the quadruple room, number 101, for its direct sea view. It had an open wardrobe and a fridge, and renovations to the rooms have begun. The bed made some noise, perhaps because my partner is 6 ft 3. The kitchenette could do with an update, but the kettle and a couple of mugs and plates were enough for us. There was no cutlery. The small, dated bathroom was clean and had plenty of hot water. We especially liked the balcony and its egg chair.

For a week in Greece on my own, I had everything I needed: a decent room with a balcony, shower, air conditioning and fridge. The maid service was good, and staff were helpful with my questions. Reception was staffed on weekend evenings and reachable by phone at any time. Good value for the money.

The room was large, with a nice air conditioner, and we liked the balcony view. They also provide a kettle with tea and coffee. The bathroom is small, but considering what you pay, you get quite a lot. Just keep in mind it’s outside the center, around 15 minutes on foot or 3 minutes by car.

They welcomed us with a cool lemon drink and some food after our sweaty ferry ride, and made us feel at home straight away. This family-run apartment place was spotless, with lovely views from the balcony. I’d highly recommend it.

We spent the Christmas holidays in Poros and found the hotel well placed by the sea, about 1 km from the center. The rooms were very clean, and the quality was excellent for the low price. I’d recommend it at any time of year. I personally love Poros in winter too, when it’s quieter but still a pleasure because of the island’s natural beauty.
