At the very least, they should refund us the difference between the standard and superior rooms, plus the last day we cancelled. Instead, they’re lying to Expedia and refusing to give us a refund. We stayed at the end of September. The hotel mixed up our reservation with a group booking and gave us a standard room, although we’d paid for a superior one. They refused to admit their mistake, blamed us, and were extremely rude. They eventually gave our room to another guest who actually belonged to the group booking. On the second day they offered us the room we’d paid for or the option to cancel. We chose to cancel.

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Irini, who gave us a kind welcome. Smy Orizontes is also well placed for reaching the island’s most beautiful areas, and the breakfast was good, varied, and plentiful. We stayed for five nights and had a good stay overall, though the bathroom caused some inconvenience. There was no door, which created privacy problems, and no glass closing off the shower cabin, so water frequently flooded the floor.

The breakfast was cold and the quality was awful. They watered down the milk and juices to make them go further. I don’t recommend staying here. We’d booked a room for three, but the hotel had us down for only two. Even after we showed a photo of the reservation, they charged us 200 euros for the third person and insisted on cash only. The room had bath towels for just two people, and we were expected to reuse the pool towels for two or three days because they wouldn’t change them daily.

Disgusting, rude, and unprofessional. The room had a constant ringing sound and I couldn’t figure out where it came from. There’s no elevator, so good luck carrying your 50+ lb bags up the stairs. The pool area is the only saving grace, but the pool restaurant staff were rude, and a small can of soda costs 5 euros. The room was filthy when we arrived: streaks in the toilet, hair all over the bathroom, and sticky floors. I asked the staff to send someone to clean the bathroom. They said yes, but NO ONE CAME. Don’t waste your money or time here.
