Lovely breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. The bed linens were wonderfully clean, the towels fluffy, and the toiletries high quality. We liked the little extras too, like drinks in the fridge. I’d suggest the hotel provide inexpensive beach towels for guests to take with them. If you have mobility issues, be aware there are many small steps, about 2-3 in, in rooms and hallways. Ours had two in the room, and the hallway steps were easy to miss. Unfortunately, my mother fell twice in the hotel and hurt herself significantly when she tripped over one of the two- or three-inch steps in the hallway.

For a low-budget hotel, it’s quite fine. The food was good enough, and the lagoon has calm, sandy, pool-like water, which was great for a lousy swimmer like me. I was shocked to see cars driving along the so-called beach, and stunned by the huge jellyfish. I missed fresh towels, a normal-sized shower, and a hair dryer, but all in all, my week’s stay was good.

The staff make you feel like you’re a nuisance, and they’re quite unfriendly. It’s too expensive in low season, with no discount even though plenty of rooms are free.

Stylish design and great value for money, right in the centre of Katakolo. The people were very kind and welcoming, and everything was very clean.
