Doryssa Method Hotel

We booked a suite at Doryssa Method Hotel in Pythagoreon/Samos, but got a basement room in the staff area instead. On our short trip to Samos in 2025, the first thing we noticed was a moldy smell, not a sea breeze. The receptionist waited until after our evening check-in to tell us the hotel was overbooked, deliberately keeping the downgrade from us. It was late and the children were tired, so we had to accept it. Never again, whatever compensation they might offer in response to my criticism. Please share similar experiences so others can be warned about this trap.

Everyone was friendly and devoted from the moment we arrived, and their care helped our holiday go smoothly. We’d booked the wrong room and were meant to stay without a balcony, so we asked to move to a higher room and pay the difference. The hotel was full at the time, but when a cancellation came through, the staff moved us to a balcony room without asking for any extra payment. Special thanks to everyone on duty.

We were so happy with our stay. The breakfast was a real treat, and the place felt clean, stylish, and high quality throughout. The location is the best. Many thanks.

The team made our trip memorable, especially Ksemia, who was resourceful and made sure we had what we needed. She and the manager were friendly and attentive, and the whole staff kept going out of their way to help with a genuine smile. Doryssa Method has beautiful design and architecture, with an artistic feel that’s luxurious but still welcoming and relaxing. The ambiance is lovely too. My stay was unforgettable, and if you’re visiting Samos, I’d definitely choose this place. A big thank-you to everyone.
