I went because a travel writer said this was the best coffee in all of Samos and that I should ask for Vera. I asked if this was where Vera made the best coffee, and got, “Yeah, what do you want?” It was so rude that I should've left. I ordered a proper cappuccino, not instant Nescafé. It took 20 minutes to arrive, even though it was October and the place wasn't busy, and tasted like very weak instant Nescafé. It was 4 Euros, with no biscotti or anything, and I could hardly drink it. I also made the mistake of using the toilet. The place was so dirty inside. A local friend who lives here confirmed that things are that bad, and yes, dirty.

George and his team made us feel like family throughout our stay at this fabulous little Greek hotel and taverna right on the beach. Being part of a “Greek Family” was a pleasure, and Vera, who serves breakfast, is an absolute gem. She looks after you with a smile and a hug. They serve lunch and dinner too, with live Greek music and dancing if you're up for it. Such a unique experience. I'd highly recommend it. Thanks, George. We'll remember our stay forever and see you again soon.

The hotel and tavernas have now closed for good and been sold to the big hotel Doryssa, along with Notas Restaurant. That whole lovely corner and beach will change forever.

The breakfast was nice, and I especially loved having a balcony. George and Vera were the highlight of the hotel, with its warm atmosphere, lovely beach, and perfect location.

Vera was especially kind and went out of her way to help us despite the language barrier. The staff made a real impression, and the location was perfect for getting to the attractions and amenities I wanted to visit. I also loved the private beach for hotel guests. The water was crystal clear and inviting for swimming or relaxing. It's a rocky beach rather than the sandy kind, which might not suit everyone, but I found that natural setting distinctive and authentic. The rooms were the one downside. The shower, beds, and other furniture were quite old, and I think they need renovation and modernization. Room quality isn't my top priority, so the hotel's strong location and great service outweighed that for me, and I'd stay again. But if room quality matters a lot to you, this may not be the place.
