Ina kept our room beautifully, and everyone at the desk was friendly and helpful. Joanna, our evening host, deserves a special mention. She even recognized us as we came and went. We really enjoyed our few nights here, and the service was exceptional.

A special thank you to Sofia and Gogone, who are a real asset to this lovely hotel. Sofia was consistently pleasant, friendly, and a joy to be around, while Gogone at the front desk went out of her way to help when my husband needed assistance. Both have wonderful English and German language skills.

The bathroom was the one letdown in an otherwise fantastic hotel in a great location, with terrific staff. The shower head was poorly fitted, and whenever I showered, water came back up through the floor drain. I'd still definitely recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here in Oct 2025. The old town of Rethymno is a great location, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of breakfast options too.

Right on the edge of the old town and within spitting distance of the Fortezza, this is a fantastic hotel. The poolside area is fairly small, so I can imagine finding a sunny lounger gets harder in the height of summer. It wasn't an issue for us in mid July.
