Blue Sea Hotel Apartments

The owner and her family were there if we needed anything. We stayed three nights, really enjoyed it, and found the hotel well located and very good value. The owner was lovely. I’d recommend it.

We spent a fortnight here from August 1st to 15th 2025. The location is excellent, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were very decent, with beds made and fresh towels each day except Sunday. Drinks on the lovely terrace, which has a great sea view, were almost ridiculously cheap. It’s less than half an hour’s walk to town, and there are plenty of places nearby for meals and groceries. The main thing I’d improve is the kitchen equipment, especially the dishes, cutlery and pans. I’m not sure we’ll come back to Crete, but if we do, this place is on our list.

Elias was very friendly and right there whenever we had a question. We had a spacious, quiet flat with a sea view, and parking right by the house was very convenient. Nice restaurants and the old town were easy to reach on foot. There’s no private section of beach, but you can get a nice spot for a fee. We’ll definitely come back.

We’re enjoying our stay to the fullest. The hotel is family-run, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. It’s a little dated, but clean and well maintained. There’s a nice private pool with a few sunbeds, and the huge beach of Rethimno is just across the street. The center is within walking distance, with lots of shops around. Give the neighbouring restaurants a go 😁👍
