Olympic Palladium

I found a room for one night quickly, and the staff were very friendly and ready to help with whatever we needed. For the price, it was very good value. I'd consider staying here again on my next visit to Rethymno.

The breakfast was amazing, and the staff were kind. The rooms were fine, though nothing special. We could walk to the old town without needing a car, but the beaches were a bit far away. There aren't many facilities: the gym needs updating, and the pool is quite small.

The location was disappointing, mainly because the bathroom was old and moldy, and the shower didn't work properly. I asked reception twice to clean out the mold. They sprayed chemicals both times, but didn't actually clean it. The floor was very dirty too, with hair from previous guests still everywhere. Most of the staff were friendly, and breakfast was okay, but the oat milk at breakfast was three weeks past its BestBeforeDate and smelled off. I mentioned it politely; it was put away, then served again the next morning. It's a pity, because with some investment in the rooms this could be a lovely hotel. I wouldn't come back.

Tatiana, the hotel manager, was one of the best parts of our stay. She was so kind and gave us directions and tips whenever we needed them. We were there on a July vacation, and the room was spotless with air conditioning that was a lifesaver in the summer heat. The buffet breakfast each morning had a delicious range of choices for different tastes. The hotel is centrally located, about a 10-minute walk from both the historic center and the beach. We had a fantastic stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!
