Kolymbia Village

The location worked well for exploring: there’s a supermarket nearby, plenty of restaurants and shops in town, and beaches and attractions are 10 to 30 minutes away. Rhodes is about 40 minutes away. We had a wonderful week and would recommend staying here for a short or longer visit. Our apartment felt like a quiet retreat, with a private section of the pool and lovely sea and mountain views. Mornings and sunsets were especially nice. It was stylish and spotless, with a well equipped kitchen, a cozy dining space, and a big outdoor table for meals with a view. The bathroom was fresh and the shower was great. Two air conditioners cooled the place quickly with the windows closed, and having a washing machine was a real plus. Check-in and check-out were easy and quick. The concierge also lent us beach items, which made days by the sea simpler. There’s no cleaning during your stay, so guests need to tidy up themselves, but we appreciated the privacy.

This was our third time at Kolymbia Village, and it really feels like coming back to a second home. Antonia at reception is so friendly and helpful, and communication over WhatsApp is easy, with quick replies. We also met Mr. Petros, the owner. He’s often around, always ready to listen and share a joke. Our junior suite was clean and had everything we needed. The resort has so many thoughtful details, and this time we had a beautiful mountain view. The welcome basket was useful on our first day, and the pool was cleaned and its water checked daily. Thanks for such a lovely stay. We enjoyed it a lot and hope to visit again.

A private little village away from the tourist area, with friendly staff, clean rooms and a pool for each room. The rooms are all a bit different. Some may get street noise from the road below, but the mountain, city and sea views are peaceful. There’s also a car rental option.

The terrace was impossible to use because the air conditioner blew hot air and loud noise straight into the seating area. The sunbeds were dirty and poorly maintained. When we brought these problems to reception, the owner was rude and ended up kicking us out instead of trying to help. The social media photos also gave a completely misleading impression of what we found. Our flat was one of the worst in the complex, in my view. It sits right beside the motorway, with constant traffic noise. Inside, there were two dark rooms. The room intended for my teenage daughters looked onto the neighboring flat’s sitting area, so there was no privacy. You could even see people’s feet on their terrace table. It was one of our worst experiences on Rhodes: noisy and uncomfortable, with no hospitality in the way our concerns were handled. Avoid this place.
