We left after two days and booked another hotel. The extra expense was worth it, because we simply didn't feel safe or welcome. The staff rarely greeted us and came across as unfriendly, as if money mattered more than hospitality. Dimitri especially was rude. I've stayed in plenty of basic places, but this was by far the worst. It felt neglected, unhygienic, and unfriendly. The first room was in terrible shape: dusty, with a broken toilet seat, a showerhead we had to hold by hand, and an air conditioner so dirty it blew dust into the room. We found cockroaches and even bed bugs. The sheets and towels weren't clean, with hairs still on the bed, and the room smelled bad. Around the pool there were lots of cockroaches and other pests, so relaxing there wasn't possible. It took a lot of insistence to get a different room, when they should have arranged one straight away. We never got fresh towels, and cleaning was very poor. The hotel is just outside the city, not in it, so a car is absolutely necessary.

The pool was peaceful most of the time, which I liked. The location felt a little sketchy, and the rooms weren’t great. Staff were nice enough, but there weren’t many of them and they often seemed unsure about what was going on.

I had a lovely week here and would happily return. The garden and pool are gorgeous, and everyone on staff was kind and ready to help. The kitchen setup in our room was pretty limited, though. There was just one pan, two forks and a knife, which wouldn’t be enough if you planned to cook for yourself.

The family running this place were especially helpful, and the staff were friendly and provided amazing service. Everything was clean and well looked after. Our upstairs room was comfortable, with pleasant furnishings and enough space. We’ll definitely book again!

The room left me feeling cheated after the fancy-looking lobby. The beds were awful, and the bathrooms smelled disgusting. When we arrived after sunset and wanted warm shower water, we had to argue with the staff to get it. They could’ve spent the money on an extra mattress instead of renovating the lobby to look smart.
