Sol Cosmopolitan Rhodes - All inclusive

We really enjoyed our stay. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff were very friendly, and the food was delicious. The evening entertainment was great too. What more could you ask for? We'd definitely recommend this 4-star hotel.

The food was fine, though the choices barely changed from day to day. As an all-inclusive resort, I expected more than mostly pizza and pasta. There were only a few sweet desserts and no savory ones, so we went to a local supermarket one day to buy some. Drinks at the pool bar included snacks like pizza or meat, ice cream, and drinks, but only cocktails on the included list were free. A mojito or Aperol, for example, cost €5, which felt ridiculous. Our first room was well below the hotel’s standards. We were meant to have a garden or sea view, but instead looked out onto a street with internet cables and a parking area. The room smelled of mold, the lights buzzed when switched on, it was dirty, and water from the bathtub sink drained through a hole in the toilet, flooding the bathroom. After we complained, they moved us to a room of standard quality. We asked for the main building as compensation, but were placed in a side building with an entrance outside the resort. It was very unusual, and every day we had to walk all the way around to get in from the resort side. At least the view was nice this time. The receptionists were mostly pleasant, though only to a point, as if they were unhappy to be there. The stay became okay after the room change, and I’ll remember it positively, but this definitely isn’t an exclusive hotel for people expecting something more. On the first day, we were given a room far below the hotel’s standards. Unfortunately, it still felt like guests from Poland were being separated from the better rooms, as they had been in the past, which came across as racism.

The restaurant was bright, spacious, and very clean, and the food had plenty of variety with something for every taste. The whole hotel was spotless, well cared for, and even smelled lovely. Staff everywhere were kind, chatty, and ready to help. We got to Sol by Meliá Cosmopolitan Rhodes at about 5 a.m. after a long trip from Poland. Check-in was meant to be at 3 p.m., but the friendly, professional receptionist found us a room within two hours so we could rest. That was much appreciated. Everyone at reception was warm and smiling. We’ve been to Rhodes twice before and had disappointing hotels, so this was a lovely surprise. Everything felt right from beginning to end. I hope to return to Rhodes, and if I do, I’d stay here again. Big respect and warm greetings from Poland to all the wonderful people in Greece! ❤️

The restaurant and waiting staff worked so hard, and were attentive, friendly, and smiling throughout. There was a great range of food for an international crowd. Not every dish was to my taste, but I still really enjoyed it. We had some room trouble when we arrived, and Soula, the reception manager, and Spyros handled it with such kindness and professionalism that they turned a potentially disastrous start into something special. The rest of the team’s warmth made the hotel feel very welcoming. It has a charming 90s feel that gives it character. The beach is beautiful and only a two-minute walk away, with complimentary sunbeds for guests. Sol Cosmopolitan Rhodes turned an unsettling arrival into a holiday we’ll remember fondly. Thanks to the whole team for going above and beyond. Highly recommended.
