I left after two nights and found somewhere else to stay. The villa was extremely dirty, with worms crawling on the floors, walls, sink and shower. The owners’ response made the stay even worse. My ferry to Corfu was delayed by 12 hours in a major storm, so I let them know I’d arrive the next day. The wind knocked my luggage over while I was leaving the ship, and my phone broke. Since it was Sunday, I couldn’t buy a replacement. My savings account could only be accessed by phone, not by card, so I couldn’t withdraw cash or transfer money to my checking account. I explained the situation to the male owner, paid him cash for the first two nights, and said I’d get a phone on Monday and pay the rest of the week then. I wasn’t asking to stay for free. He yelled that he wasn’t a charity and I couldn’t stay without money, and insulted me. After travelling all day through the storm, in 38-degree heat, he wouldn’t let me sit down or offer me water. I tried to contact someone through FB on my computer to send money by instant payment, but he kept shouting and threatening me and wouldn’t let me use it to sort things out. He copied my passport and said he’d keep it until checkout. After I told him that was illegal, he returned it several hours later. Then his daughter sent aggressive, threatening messages through booking.com. Even after someone sent the money, he kept coming to my room and bothering me. As a woman travelling alone, I felt treated like a criminal just because my phone had broken. I got sick to my stomach over how this was handled. Never again.

Everything you need is close by, and the owner was so welcoming and nice. Thanks for a lovely holiday and a great start to my time in Corfu!

A lovely, relaxing garden and a great spot to stay on a budget. The owners were kind and really tried to make guests happy. Roda’s restaurants are three minutes away, and we loved the village taverna, about a 15-minute walk. Thank you from Constantin and Catalina!

We liked chatting with the welcoming, very nice owners. The room was good and the location was great. If we come back to Corfu, we’d stay here again.

A quiet, cozy place and a real find for the price. Our apartment had two bedrooms, a kitchenette, a shower room and a nice terrace. It was spotless, and the owners were friendly enough to offer fruit from their garden. The beach is nearby, and the cafes have lots of entertainment for people who enjoy that.
