A good base, and good value for the price. The beds were made and the floors cleaned every day. Air con costs 70 euros a week. Only some rooms have a glass shower screen; the others have a curtain, so water gets everywhere. We’ve stayed here twice.

The pool area was lovely, and both pools were great. The pool bar served reasonably priced drinks and lovely food from 10am-6pm, while the hotel bar was open 6pm-midnight and also had reasonable prices. Breakfast was an average continental spread. The rooms were basic but very clean and cleaned daily. Air con cost €10 a day, which was definitely worth it. Staff were all very friendly and did everything they could to help. The hotel’s well placed: it’s about a 15-minute walk down a scenic route to Sami, or 10 minutes along the main road. We hired a car, and Sami ended up being my favourite place on the island, with lots of restaurants and bars and lovely scenery. We had a great holiday and I’d tell people not to be put off by the bad reviews. The hotel was great for what we paid and for its star rating. I’d definitely return.

I’d go back in a heartbeat. The rooms are basic, but clean thoroughly, and that suits me. If you want chocolates on your pillow and towels folded into swans, this probably isn’t your thing, though that stuff doesn’t float my boat anyway when I can look at a beautiful mountain every day. The price was a bargain, with everything I needed: a clean room, a good breakfast selection, and friendly staff. I ate outside each morning overlooking the mountains. The pool was lovely and had good snacks. A nice path to the right of the hotel leads to Sami Harbour and the restaurants, passing peacocks, chickens, goats, and little farms.

We had a week here through a TUI holiday and really liked it. Friendly staff, and the place ticked all the boxes for us. We paid for an upgraded room on the second floor with a sea view. Everything was basic, but it worked. Both pools were nice and well looked after, with enough sunbeds and shade. The pool snack bar was good: a large beer was 5 euros, a glass of wine 3 euros, and a large bottle of water 2 euros. It’s a 20-minute walk to the sea, where the bars and restaurants are. We’d come back.
